Framing is the second most important stage of construction; All walls and ceilings should be built to the specicifations of the designer and architect. We triple check our work as we build. We use lasers and levels with the occasional plumb bob to determine whether our work is within the expected deviation tolerance. New walls should be squared off existing walls by using the Pythagoras Theorem and a framing square. If the walls and floor are level and plumb, the floor to wall angle will be 90 degrees. With a level base, a floor framed on top will also be level. This is also true for other framing including decks, pergolas, gazebos, etc. Our tools and experience are what set us apart from the competition. Since 1946, when mortise and tenon joinery was common, our family has excelled in carpentry. On April 25, 1946, Gerald J. Warren began his training at The South Side Vocational Institute in St. Johns, Newfoundland. Gerald Warren worked as a general contractor and handyman until joining the carpenters union. He worked as a the lead carpenter for Toronto movie sets including the Police Academy movies and numerous others. He built his home with the help of his six children and loving wife, and they all inherited his techniques and work ethic. Two generations later, we still emphasize the same enthusiasm and pride in our work. Gerald's saying was "If you can't find the time to do it right, then you never will."
